Perler Sunday!
Today had a great time with kids doing some paintings and perler beads. My daughter loves butterflies and she has made a few of them. Today she made this one which I loved. I enjoyed that boys think so much different making cricket bat, ball and stump out of these perler beads and playing a game with those too (Sorry.. for the pics of boyish stuff. they were so cute but before I could manage to take a few clicks, they were played well with). Anyway, it was a day well spent!

Hexafish Ring
Here is a cute ring - a hexafish rainbow loom ring, specially made for me. Isn't it cute! 3 colors - yellow, orange and red make a wonderful combination.
Making this style ring or bracelet using 2 or 3 different colors looks great!

Pongal Kolam and A Special Rainbow Kolam
Any festival is celebrated with lots of colored elaborate and decorative pattern drawings at the entrance of the home.Today is pongal and hence calls for even more special decorations. Happy Pongal!
The below kolam can be drawn with the help of dots or straight drawing lines. It can be drawn small with a plus sign to as big as you can by drawing lines on each side of the plus sign. I drew 5 lines on each side of the plus , used a curved petal shaped ending for the red color and finished this by coloring it in rainbow colors to celebrate Pongal and also to welcome Spring.
Watching me coloring the rangoli, my kids wanted to enjoy their share. Here is their fun - it may and need not be very perfect but having fun and creativity are more important.

Simple Halloween Puppet!
Happy Halloween! It is the time to decorate your home spookily and tell your kids some spooky stories. You can use small puppets for the stories, or kids can make and use these puppets for their story to have some extra fun. Also you can make it in bigger size and stick init on windows or wall or hang them too. All you need is a few popsicle sticks, glue or glue sticks, tape, construction paper and some imagination. Draw spooky characters and stick them on to your popsicle stick. You have an instant puppet.
